thanks Madelaine;

many aspects of the videos are quite disturbing to me (the stereotypical descriptions of Dutch culture and the insulting assumptions made about immigrants)

many aspects are quite bizarre (the critical reactions of the fellow we follw around the room as he is exposed to "Dutch culture"; the representation of a "typical" heated domestic argument in a social situation

reminds me of a notorious Canadian ESL document that tried to define Cdn culture for immigrants
